How to make Semolina (Rulang) Toffee

Semolina (Rulang) Toffee is a very yummy sweet that can be used for any occasion. Follow these simple steps to make a perfect Semolina (Rulang) Toffee. 

Will you need

  • 250 g of Semolina (Rulang)
  • 300 g of sugar 
  • 500 ml of hot water 
  • Salt (as your taste)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 tsp of butter

Way of making 

  • Vish/Home Cooking
    First, caramelize some sugar (you can also use jaggery instead of sugar) and after the sugar is well caramelized, add the rest of the sugar.
  • After the sugar caramelizes and melts, add very hot water and mix well keeping the flame at a moderate level.
  • After adding water, bubble it well and a little salt when it boils.

  • Now add 1 tsp vanilla to it (instead of vanilla you can add a little crushed cardamom, cloves)
  • Now add the Semolina (Rulang) to this, After adding the Semolina (Rulang) the flame should be reduced. 
  • Now stir the mixture well and quickly (after adding the Semolina (Rulang), the mixture will come together quickly). Add 1 tsp of butter and stir (can increase the taste by adding cashews, raisins)

  • After mixture is mixed well, put the mixture in a tray and cut the pieces of your desired size.
