How to make Wheat Flour Vade (Pan Piti Vade)

  Vish/Home Cooking Will you need Wheat flour 300 g  One and a half teaspoons of yeast  A small onion  Two green chili pods A little curry leaves Two teaspoons of chili flakes 1 teaspoon of salt  Way of making  First, take a small bowl and put the yeast in it and add about 5 teaspoons of lukewarm water to it. (usually the water should be as hot as your finger can feel) Then stir it and keep it aside until the yeast blooms. Put the flour in a bowl and put the yeast in it. Add cut onion, green chili, curry leaves and chili flakes to it. Now while adding little hot water to it, knead the flour by hand (knead to a slightly sticky level) Then cover with a polythene and leave for about 45 minutes.   Vish/Home Cooking Woodapple is fruit of the common man grown in abundance here in Sri Lanka. The ripe woodapple takes on a dark brown color. Another way to find out whether the fruit is ripe is to shake it. When i t is ripped you can eat it with sugar. The unripe woodapple is brilliant as a pickle (achcharu)with a bit of chilly powder, sugar and a pinch of salt. Woodapple is wonderful in so many ways.  Woodapple is an underutilized fruit, having many health benefits. How to make Traditional Milk Jack Fruit Curry (Kiri Kos)

Vish/Home Cooking There are many ways to cook jackfruit and this is one My all time favorites.   will you need Vish/Home Cooking  1 kg jackfruit pods milk from 1 coconut 3 tbsp black pepper 3/4 fenugreek seeds  10 garlic cloves  1 tbsp turmeric powder curry leaves rampa 7-8 green chilies  1 1/2 tsp salt  Way of making  Cut unripe yellow color jackfruit into small pieces. Clean the seeds and cut them into two parts. Place the jackfruit pieces and seeds in the vessel and add the garlic and 1/3 tsp of fenugreek.  Since this is an Ayurvedic recipe, the two special spices used here are turmeric and pepper. Add turmeric powder, curry leaves and rampa to it. Do not add red chili powder to this, add 7 to 8 pieces of cut in two green chili. Add milk as cover the jackfruit pieces and mix well.
