HOW TO MAKE JEW PLUM (AMBARELLA) CURRY
Let's make an Jew plum (Ambarella) curry for the Sri Lankan style
This is one of the most popular delicacies in Sri Lanka. We present a recipe that is delicious and can be prepared properly. Follow these steps and join us to enjoy Sri Lankan recipes.
~What you need~
- Jew plum (Ambarella) 7-8
- Finely chopped onion 4-5
Vish/Home Cooking - Garlic 2
- Green chilies 2
- Sugar 3 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Piece of cinnamon
- 2 pieces of ramp (pandan leaves)
- Chili powder
- Coconut oil
- Some water
- Salt
~ Way of Making ~
- First put a vessel on the stove and add oil to it. Once the oil is heated and add the garlic when it turns golden add the ramp (pandan leaves).
- Then add onion, green chilies, piece of cinnamon and curry leaves. Next add chili powder and stir till it turns slightly dark red.
- Add the sliced Jew plum (Ambarella), when it turns dark red and mix well.
- After mixing well, add enough water to cover the Jew plum (Ambarella) and add salt in taste and pepper.
- Now close the vessel and cook well. When the broth boils well, open the vessel and when it thickens slightly, add sugar and let the sugar dissolve and thicken well.
- When it is well thickened, turn off the stove and let it dry.
- Now you can taste the made Jew plum (Ambarella) curry. You can eat this with rice as well as bread.
