- 5 tbsp of wheat flour a
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar

Way of making

Vish/Home Cooking
- Add 1 tsp of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar to it and mix well.
- Add a little thick coconut milk to it (If you don't have coconut milk, you can add a little water, but the best taste comes from coconut milk)
- You need a slightly liquid batter. Mix well so that there are no lumps. Cover this mixture and keep it for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes add some salt and mix well again. The mixture should be liquid, if it is thick add some coconut milk or water and make the batter.
- Now heat a pan and when the pan is hot, add some oil and wipe the excess oil with a tissue.
Vish/Home Cooking
- Now put some of the mixture in the pan and keep the flame very low and fry one side of the hopper.
- Cover the pan when the holes appear because the hopper needs to be steamed well. After a minute or two, turn the other side of the hopper and fry for about a minute.
Sri Lankans eat this hoppers with chili paste. This has very milky taste. Try this recipe and enjoy new taste.
